PROJECT DETAILS
The Holborn Workplace is a contemporary corporate office interior in Aberdeen, delivered as an Office Interior Design in Aberdeen project by MFA Home Design.
The brief was to create a calm and structured environment that balances professional presence with everyday practicality, supporting focused work, collaboration and a welcoming experience for visitors.

The design spans reception, boardroom, executive offices, collaboration areas and staff breakout spaces. Each area was carefully planned to function independently while remaining visually connected through a cohesive material palette and architectural language.

A restrained palette forms the foundation of the interior, supporting clarity and focus across the working environment. Soft neutral tones are layered with bespoke joinery, architectural detailing and tailored furnishings to introduce depth while maintaining a calm atmosphere.

The reception lounge welcomes visitors with textured finishes and biophilic elements that create a quiet connection to nature. Sculptural lighting and considered material combinations add warmth while maintaining a professional character suited to a corporate workplace.

Within the dining breakout space, a custom designed banquette seating introduces a gentle curvature and softer proportions, providing a relaxed counterpoint to the more linear architectural elements used throughout the office.

Meeting spaces, including the boardroom, were designed with proportion and balance in mind, creating environments suited to presentation, discussion and decision making. The executive office follows the same approach, combining refined finishes with a practical layout.

Natural moss wall panels introduce texture and contrast, bringing a subtle biophilic presence into the workplace. Careful attention was given to continuity between spaces so the office feels unified while allowing each area to retain its own identity.

The completed project reflects a contemporary yet timeless professional environment shaped by proportion, materiality and quiet architectural detail.
